Hi all,

sorry for my absence but I was/am full with projects distant from the car theme. While collecting aircraft pictures, I ran over these ones. King Victor Emanuel III visits the Caproni factory on 6 April 1940. In the background of the first picture, you see Ca.310 short-range reconnoissance aircraft. In the second one, there is the Ca.135 medium bomber. But in what is His Majesty rolled around?

Italian automobiles of this period are well-described. Nonetheless, googling for it found no result. You can find the pictures on picclick.it, but there is no explanation given.

So I ask YOU for help. Thank you for every answer!

Regards, RT

For me no doubt that the king is carried in a Lancia Aprilia Garavini. Thank you Rusty and Wendax! :applause:

Hi Nicanary, I don't know how the seat position for the king was arranged. Physically, Victor Emanuel III was very small! :)

Interesting. Probably a raised rear seat like the Pope has. But why didn't they just use an Astura?
