Classic Racing at Watkins Glen September 2007
« on: January 18, 2007, 12:12:54 PM »
Never having been and informed that it is one of the best event of the year, my friend the president of the XKE club of the UK and I are arriving on the 3rd September and leaving on the 10th. Anyone else planning on going? If so would love to meet up and have a beer and swap stories. Perhaps we could have an Autopuzzles convention? Look forward to seeing some positive answers!

An AutoPuzzles convention at Watkins Glen in Sept sounds like a winner to me.

Let's see if we can't organize something..........

Far above Cayuga's waters, there's an awful smell.
Some say its Cayuga's waters, others say Cornell.   ;D

The USGP was traditionally at Watkins Glen in October and the scenery was always spectacular. Hell, September is close enough!   ;D

I've never been to the vintage races at the Glen, but I've attended them at Lime Rock in CT. I've driven the Glen a couple times and it is a very fun track. I'd love to go in September and meet up with any Autopuzzlers.

The Glen is a 10 hour ride for me.  Lime Rock is 2 1/2 hours. I would be happy to meet anyone at Lime Rock!     ;D

Ten hours into upstate NY from RI?

Sounds fishy to me.

Jeez, your commute is even easier than mine. Marblehead MA to the Glen is 6 1/2 hours or so. Longer if your alternator explodes and requires a rebuild along the way. Much shorter if you meet up with a contingent of Autobahn minded Saab enthusiasts on a very eary Memmorial day morning.

According to legend of course.
