I've linked the pic from the Request page and start this from the Experts' section.

I do not know what it is — two points finder's reward!

Allemano

No expert help, thus to the final stage..

As I've written before: I haven't got a clue!

I think there is a not proven connection to Porsche....

please look at my first post...

confirm SAAB prototype

Otto Puzzell

Hmmm....

Less aero than the first SAAB (on display at the SAAB museum) - the windscreen is too upright, no engine cooling, headlights tacked on vs flush-mounted, doors open the 'wrong' way.

I've heard somewhere that the buildings in the background could be part of the Porsche residence in Stuttgart back then.

How can you confirm if you said that you were guessing? Any proves?
It's not denial, I'm just very selective about the reality I accept.

Perhaps it's a predecessor of this one:

Still with split screen, but the layout and size of the car fits. And the VW wheels, too.

There was a VW Beetle-based Austro-Tatra prototype that looked a lot like this, but I'm really struggling to find any photographic proof.  For the moment though, an Austro-Tatra gets my vote and I will try and find some evidence to back this up..

Would be nice if you could find it! The whole internet puzzle car community would be thankful!

Djetset

I'll take that as a no then!  :P

I don't know how many times I have to repeat that I don't have a clue what it is!  :-\

Djetset

I never did manage to find any proof of my Austro-Tatra suggestion from months back, but just looking at this one again, I wonder if it could be an early Porsche-Studebaker project (again, no proof I'm afraid!) as there is a real hint of early 50s Studebaker about the design.  Just a thought to help bring this one back to life!

Thanks for that!

All I got so far are clueless experts around the globe.

Hey, isn't that what AutoPuzzles is all about?!!   :lmao:
