Unknown Oddities

To follow on from the "What's it I don't know theme" here are a few pictures I have of cars I wanted to post as puzzles but never could as I don't have any information about what they are!

So if anyone can identify or add anything they could always earn a point or two:

#5 was build in California in the 50's by a ford designer. Car is a one piece body with original paint, interior, etc. Car is build on a 33 ford frame that was "Z"ed to lower stance, a 59AB flat head with Harlem heads, Evans two carp manifold w/ 97 stromberg carbs. Name? I don't know.

According to DVLA you are right: first registered 23 01 1936, displacement 1479 cc

#1 is obviously German prewar, and #2 looks like a Swedish custom based on a US car.

Aha - I didn't know it had appeared before.
The site where I got it from actually called it a "Nashabaker" but I got the impression they had coined that just to describe what they thought it might be made up out of..!

The site where I found it called it an MG Special I think (it was a long time ago..) and the Reg No. bore that out, I thought, as many pre-war MG T-types were 'JB' registered..
Seems not however!

The picture comes from a well-known German site but they offer no name or other information on what it might be.

You certainly know a lot more about this one than I do!

A friend of mine (Bill W) just passed on a bit more info on #5. He tells me it's called "Mike Accera’s Red Flame Special".

To complete the informations given by Otto (and probably from the same source):

... While the car is currenly in the northeast USA, the owner was told that it was built in California in the 1950′s.  As conveyed to me, the car is built on a 1933 Ford frame that was lowered or “z’d”, it has a 59AB flathead with Harlem heads.  Evans two carb manifold with Stromberg 97′s.  Nice Buick sidetrim used and of course wild wild fins....

There are many pictures going with it.

Here is some more information:

The car is a Jaguar XK150 with an aluminium body. Alan Harris bought the car from Wolfgang Stamm whilst on business in Munich, Germany. The cars first owner was Jim Atkinson, a British national living in Austria. It led a hard life being raced and rallied in Austria ( still with it's original bodywork ) and when Harris moved to Singapore, then Hong Kong, he took the 120 with him. He was still competing in races with it until 1975 when he returned to Austria. The non-standard front end was then added. The car is in England and is being restored to its original specifications.
