Phone cameras were huge in those days. You needed a man-servant to carry it round for you and it took an hour to set up. You did well to get the shot taken.

Yes, the picture is the foreground of a 1966 advertising of the Innocenti IM 3. I was looking at this leaf, when I noticed this strange car; I've zoomed the photo to the maximum of my scanner...and this is what I obtained. The plate number look like to be MI 75xxx, so the car should be from 1963-4.

Does the windscreen provide a clue? Many amateur and professional coachbuilders used proprietary glass.

Is it actually a real car?
It might be something like a Citroen Ami 6 that has been retouched (it's from the days before photoshop!) to look anonymous to avoid giving Citroen a free advert?
Note the lack of direction indicators and parking lights.
I don't think you'll ever be able to track down this car because it's a figment of someone's imagination!

It's very similar to the Lancia but the bonnet slopes down more, which would have been quite difficult to do with the tools available at that time (see the second picture below to note that).

Oddly, they seem to have had 2 completely different goes at retouching it!

I'm fairly certain that's just a visual effect caused by having altered the nose. Notice how there's no change in the curvature of the chrome spear running down the middle of the bonnet. Also, notice how the exaggerated slope only appears in your second photo and not the first. The first photo more closely resembles the Flavia. Somebody probably took note of this, and so further changes were made to alter the bonnet line, shrink and cover the headlights, completely remove the bumper overriders, etc.
