I'm expecting it to be Japanese. Is it in any way related to the car standing next to it?

You're right - it is Japanese! Am I becoming predictable? I don't know for sure that is has any connection to the car behind it (which I'm sure you're able to identify...) - but in theory I can trace one

the car in the back might be the Gigliato Aerosa. The one we´re searching for has some styling clues that look kind of "isuzu-ish" to me.

That was my first thought, too - there's a hint of the Isuzu Mu off-roader to it.

It's not that you're predictable, it's just that there are a few tell-tale signs that a car could be Japanese...

So, was Nobuo Nakamura involved in this, maybe?

And Leon's getting larger!

Otto's sense of humour strikes again :D  What's the 'Leon' reference though?

OK, let's see what we've got here. Yes, that's a Gigliato Aerosa ( :) grobmotorix) in the background, as designed by Nobuo Nakamura ( :) @are), who used to be at Isuzu. And the pink car is based on an Isuzu...

I'm pretty sure this isn't an official Isuzu but an independent design
As a clue, it dates from 1995

Are you sure about the 1995 date? I find it strange that Car Styling did not feature this car in 1995 (or 1996 for that matter)

I do know the Isuzu COA I, II and III, that share some design elements.

So is this the Isuzu COA IV?

1995 is the date I have. I don't believe it's an 'official' Isuzu design (unless you can show otherwise!) - hence not a COA....

Was the photo taken at Geneva?  If that is the Aerosa behind the puzzle car, this is probably 1997...

I was at Geneva in 1997 and this car wasn't there. I'm pretty sure about the 1995 date. I'm afraid I don't know too much more about the details - e.g. exactly what Isuzu it was based on. But I don't believe it was a university project

Looks like it was done by DC Design in India to me.
