I know it's based on a Fiat, that's what my source says.

...but before you tell me, it's not an official product, of course and it's not from Italy.
Just tell me the event for the point and I'll share what I found.

i don't think it's an official abarth, because these stickers are put on it in 2008. Not visible on the original car.
The original designers/construcors are still a mystery.

I hope you did not use GoogleImageSearch and I really would like to know how did you find it...but you are correct, of course.
I'll post here the few lines on that web page:

Is 1956 not a little early for a car like this? Where is the historical story behind the student project?

And yes, even for Germans it would have been incredible hard to find....

I hope the 'fair play required' note has been recognized....

Limo

I used google, only after you already told us it was an Abarth.
No point for the event, that's okay.

But, the event doesn't say anything about who built/designed this car...
The students didn't built it, only restored it, and the Abarth stickers are probably just for show reasons.

BTW, I found my pictures years ago in a magazine, but the magazine didn't mention a make, only that it was 1966 fiat based.

Where did these students find the car? Who built/designed it?? Lombardi?

Very generous!!!  :noid:

Limo,

first of all I have a certain respect that you are honest enough to admit cheating in this case. Thanks for that!

It's okay when you are using GoogleImageSearch for your private use and of course it's okay when you use it here if you privately want to know the ID of a car, but please do NOT answer then, it's not fair and unsportmanslike and a complete killjoy! Especially considering Paul Jaray's initial post!

The puzzle was about to declared as solved not until the event should have been guessed.

I'm seriousely thinking about banning you from my own posted puzzles from now on!  :-\

And I'm going to ask from time to time every puzzler exactly how he/she has solved my puzzles via PM.
Apologize for that, but we can't go on like that!

Paul Jaray

Limo, I have to agree with Allemano.
To use GoogleImageSearch and answer to get the point is not forbidden like is not forbidden to play chess with a 3-year old kid...it's an unwritten rule we all feel obliged to respect.

I'd like to know more about this car...I'll leave it open for a while and I'll decide about the points.
