Oh well, thanks for trying anyway PJ. I occasionally spend some time in the Languedoc-Roussillon region of France (34), where this mystery seems to come from, so perhaps one day I might get to see it and speak to its owner or creator...

Here's a rear view of it that we haven't had before.  Still no idea what its name is though...

Google translation of the above:

Hello, I registered on this forum following my research on the 8-wheel Golf of my article www sixmania en / volkswagen-golf-8-wheels-suedoise-1982 /
I then took Paul Jaray as a friend on Facebook, and I'm back here for this amazing 2hp of which I had kept the photos, but I don't know any more than you do.

I still consider myself an Internet research pro, but I did another round yesterday and I found nothing more than you.

No one has a gendarme or police officer in your relationships? Why not submit this license plate to find out the owner?
I had that, but unfortunately I no longer ...

Could this be known as 'The Flyer' (Le Depliant)?

Thank you !

The car hasn't got a proper name, so I chose to call it "2CV / GT40" as Planète 2CV magazine.

Finally a long, long lasting puzzle is solved!
Two points are the minimum for such a goal.
