Anyone have any ideas? Might be a homebuilt from Crosely parts. Looks a bit like it escaped from a carnival ride.

I have no idea what it is, but I love the angle iron rear bumper extender, and the extra tie down strap draped over the steering column. :)

Would i get a point for saying it is  Brazilian attempt to make a replica of Batmobil? it is called  BATMÓVEL and was manufactured in the 50s. Only one example is said to be manufactured.

@re

Yes, the car in my pictures is the Batmovel, but that wasn't a puzzle... the puzzle here is Arthur Dent's car ;)

Yes, but the picture doesn't show and that ebay link is long dead.

I think it may be nothing more than a gussied up example of a Streco Turnpike Cruiser

I´m very happy to know that a lot of you visited my site "Foras de Série do Brasil - Brazilian Specialist Cars". I´ll do an update soon, as the last one was six months ago. This yellow car was built in the 1950´s in a city called Limeira, 150 km from São Paulo.

Is the website still online? Google doesn't show anything.
It's not denial, I'm just very selective about the reality I accept.

The engine is in the rear, so not a Crosley.  The license plate is Wayne County, Michigan (1962?), so this is a Detroit product.   I'm going to say it was once a King Midget.

Look's a little like Irving Kirschner's "Princess", or an attempt to recreate it. The "Princess", a miniature version of Kirschner's regular-size custom, the "Pirate" (a customized '56 Chevy), was built for his daughter. It was featured in Rod and Customs magazine, as well as other hot rod publications. New Jersey builder Tony Bruskivaze built the "Pirate" and "Princess" for Kirschner.

Whomever built this mystery car seems to also have used Olds F-85 taillight bezels as headlight bezels. Perhaps they saw one of these publications and tried to build their own (and failing miserably, I might add)

This is in the February 57 copy of mechanix illustrated. The owner had won a tiny golden hammer for his efforts. Seems to have an awful lot of similarities. True the fins would have to have been cut off.  But the wheel arches are the same shape and the wheels look the same. The two tone paint seems to follow a swage line you can see in the original picture. Its got the same odd narrow proportions.

*Can someone help me resize it.

...but if you resize the picture, it still has a 116-inch wheelbase and a Ford V8 engine. The puzzle car looks pretty smaller (and could be Crosley or King Midget raleted).  ;)

Whats your evidence thats its based off a King Midget or a Crosley? They're small and american, so by default this car must be related to them....  This car appears to have standard pressed steel wheels which would require along with the bodywork changes huge modifications to a king midget.  To the point that there would be nothing left of the original car.

Also i think you're been fooled by the cars odd proportions into thinking its smaller than it actually is.

No evidence, just the place where it was advertised for sale (ebay motors) called it "Crosley-King-Midget-Micro-Mini-Car-1950s-Rat-Hot" that means almost nothing.
About the proportions, I believe there's no mistake. There are many elements (lights, license plate, etc) that clearly show how small the car is.
