What is this?
One point for the make and nationality.
I have very little information on this car.

woodinsight

This one is not so easy - moving it up a level now

woodinsight

Yes I do but the builder is unknown and the year only approximate.
I have another view taken from the rear that i will post in due course.

Carnut

French reg., so assume it is French-built..
Renault engine?

Yes it is French.
Discussed it with PJ and we decided that the name I have may not be the name of the car but where it was built.
Anyhow, one point if you come up with the name I have and another point if full details can be provided - name, builder, base and year, etc.
Another view -

Amsterdam

#7
Built in the early seventies near Laval. So in French lets call it "La Laval"

woodinsight

That is the only name I have so one point for you Amsterdam.
I'm going to promote it and leave it open in case the pros can provide fuller details.

del78

it looks like pre version of Jimenez

woodinsight

It certainly looks to be well-built - I wonder what it was based on and where the parts came from?

woodinsight

I'm going to place this one in the Black Hole until someone can come up with the name of the builder, name of the car and the year.

Djetset

Can't add much more about this car, except to say that all the glass and roof section is taken from the (rare) Alpine GT4.
A car is for life, not just for Christmas.

woodinsight

Interesting Djetset - I hadn't thought to look at that aspect.
Hopefully one day we'll know the story behind it.

woodinsight

On second thoughts, I'm going to put this back in the Pros section.
It still needs to be solved but the Black Hole is probably too 'out of the way'

DynaMike

I have no idea what this might be, but the taillights come from an early Peugeot 504 Coupé or Cabriolet.

(daft comment removed - I seem to have lost that new 'Remove' button again!!)

Daft comments are always welcomed as well as the other type.
Sometimes we can be too serious on these forums.

woodinsight

I think we are all agreed that we don't know who built this car at the moment - so into the BH until someone knows more.

woodinsight

I'm wondering if any of our new members have the answer to this one?
It's a two point puzzle (Black Hole)

Djetset

Could this be a coupe made by Maurice Gagniere?

Although the front is similar the remainder is quite different.
Perhaps he built two cars?

The only photo I have (very poor) of the Gagniere is shown below -

Carnut

Looks vaguely (but only vaguely!) similar to this Barzoi prototype:

One point that comes to mind on the puzzle car - does anyone recognise the windscreen/side windows on the car - it may give an idea what it was based on?

Wendax

Djetset had identified it before:
