I do not know what this is, so I place it here instantly.

The file name tells you all the fact I have.

Can you identify this one and proof your guess?
EDIT: in the meantime I found the name and place of the builder myself...

Look similar to Honukai by Thomas A Jaggar 1928 Alaska USA. The 1870's Alaskan flag on the rear

grobmotorix

You´re right.

Very similar and very probably either a sister car or an evolution of the puzzle car.

LOCKED for you in any case.

When I´ll be back home I´ll check it before I give you that point.

It is not too easy to decide, if this is solved .

However. compared to the Jaggar Sea Turtle, the puzzle car is quite different in many details. (see magazine clipping featuring the Sea Turtle below)

And Mr. Jaggar was a Hawaiian - so there is no connection to Alaska in my eyes.

Oguerrerob

I think you're right.  But the picture That I have of Honukai's Mr Jaggar was taken in Island of Vulcanoes Alaska

grobmotorix

Oh my - this does not make it easier for me...

Any other comments from other members?

I thought about Jaggar, too, but rejected that idea, because all of his cars I found pictures of looked different.

There is (on a well-known site about amphibious cars) a drawing of a similar 1926 threewheeler from Chicago along with the comment "three wheels drawing, actually built with four wheels later". Unfortunately its builder is marked as "unknown".

grobmotorix

Yes, I also know this one.

Hopefully someone will identify this 100%...

George Powell of Powell Mobile Boat Works. The source says that "The mobile-boat that Powell invented was remarkably similar to Jaggar's Ohiki. Both used Ford Model-T chassis..."

grobmotorix

Do you have a photo?
I need a proof, as I myself do not know the answer...

The book that talks about Powell mobile boat, also says that this Powell's car was used by Prof Jaggar in Hawaii Alaska. The article shows

According to the novel "The Last Volcano: A Man, a Romance, and the Quest to Understand Nature's Most Magnificent Fury" by John Dvorak.
Powell built the boat car at his shop in Chicago, and delivered it personally to Jaggar in Seattle. This car was christened Honukai.

grobmotorix

The puzzle boat-car still looks quite different to your suggestions...

The Vehicle plate, according to some Illinois webpages, the initial B was the designation for small trucks, and the 25 is the registration year.  According to this, the car basis was a 1925 small truck remodeled in 1928

grobmotorix

Agreed, the source claims it to be from Chicago.

Not him also.

Think of a well known "Colin" and and then I guess you will find out his family name...

But not one of those and also not a car related Colin like Colin Chapman.
