That's a 1946 Dodge grille pattern, so maybe a proposal for a long wheelbase Dodge/Chrysler family model?

Yes, it is a Volvo 800 series (PV831), but not drawn by Wilsgaard. Now locked to you for the correct illustrator's name.

Thanks Wendax, it's not Helmer Pettersson, so I will unlock, but add your first point now for correctly identifying this as a Volvo 800.

My first choice was also Helmer but on second thought, I think it might have been his son Pelle who did the rendering. Pelle was a world renowned sailing yacht designer and illustrator in his own right.

Helmer designed the PV444 and the PV830/831 redesign of the original PV800 bore several styling characteristics of the PV444.

Waaay too much reading in Swedish references with no absolute answer.

How about Olle Schjolin, a Swedish American hired by Volvo after a successful career with GM and Opel designing cars in the 1930's.

He was responsible for the design of the Volvo PV60, which looked a lot like a 1939 Pontiac and the 830 series was also very "American" looking so maybe he had a hand in the 830 design as well.
