OK, I had 5 others, including Ivan, as possibilities, most of them Swedish Americans pirated by Volvo to modernize their product line and assembly techniques but I think none of them are the correct person.

So, may I ask if this was a design exercise done by, for example, an engineering or design group from Chalmers Technical University or another such College or University in the Göteborg area?

I've gone back to my information source, and there is no mention of any local Swedish college or university connection.

Well, 2 days and no more responses.

May I now ask if the person who did the drawing was a Volvo employee or someone from outside the Volvo organization.  I only ask because I have spent so much time on internal Volvo personnel.

From what I gather, the illustrator worked in-house for Volvo, although my information source is not 100% certain on this.
