It does use some Austin 7 componants, but also parts from another well-known car.

What about a highly modified Ashley 750 (Austin 7 sport chassis)?

A few comments & questions:
- the real wheel has a white-walled tyre so was the car US-made?
- not sure about the body: aluminum or fiberglass?
- might the bulge on the left side of the bonnet be a clue to what the engine is?
- the body looks definitely testarossa-ish to me...
