Hard to identify (at least for me), so it starts already as Professional puzzle.
It comes from a neglected part of a famous Italian journalist's archive, among the "unsorted" pictures.
Any help to identify it?

Unfortunately, I've no idea at all: it is in a box of unsorted photos that a museum got as a donation. I'm collaborating in identifying them, but this one is a mistery for the whole team.

That was a bit of a wild guess from me but I'll seriously look at furthering the identification in the coming days...

Thank you!
Just to share our thinking: the car is brand new (without license plate but with its frame); hence we guess it's spotted in front of its maker's factory. And, if true, it should be a major one, looking to the building (but we are not able to identify it).
The photo comes from a very major Italian period journalist's archive, but we are not sure it's spotted by him nor in Italy, actually.

Interesting enigma - let's hope that the road to true identification will not be too difficult.

I hope so... And don't forget we have a full box of obscure car pictures to identify... I just posted two to see if Autopuzzles is the right place to get some help  ;). I indeed think so!

Another thought from my side, hoping not to be misleading: isn't that rear track too wide for a pre-war car, is it? Perhaps a post-war special?

Unfortunately, I also can't contribute on this one, but I wondered if it is normal that there is not a single tail light present?
Was the car not yet completely finished or were tail lights not yet obligatory?

Also what is it with that "tipp-ex" around the car?

Good point. I'm not sure, but I think that before 1928 Italian street law, the taillight was not mandatory. But the car looks more modern. Perhaps also before the 1959 law (that is more or less the current one) the taillight was also optional.

The white marking aroung the car is the period Photoshop masking  :D Hand made with brush and white paint. Knowing the source, I'm almost sure the car has been published on "L'auto italiana" magazine, but we have not been able to find it, actually. Perhaps the photo has just been prepared and then not used...

It was my first guess, but some OM experts are not convinced.
As I wrote, this photo has been found among an unsorted pack froma a famous archive, without any indication.
I hope somebody can prove (either finding it published somewhere or finding a similar one) which car it can be.
