 Imperial 6hp 1904

Yes indeed. This marque was based in Manchester, UK. It is thought that the car is simply a rebadged Lacoste et Battmann.

Lacoste et Battman made major components for the motor industry of the time and in the Veteran Car Club's Dating Committee we had a long and inconclusive debate about whether L&B ever marketed a complete car in their own name.
Georgano (well Michael Sedgwick) has a long piece which tells us he didn't know either.
Opinionated but sometimes wrong

Indeed. I was a bit vague in my summary, but I believe the general feeling is that Imperial constructed the car from parts purchased from L & B, and there was little input from other sources. I was wrong to say it was rebadged.

As usual, you are a great source of information on matters veteran and Edwardian - thanks for the input.
