Of course I tried to find out, buit I could not find it - the name is used so often by modern companies, that I was not able to trace this thing back.
On the other hand there is a chance to guess this obvious name...

Leave out the "r" at "Motor" and we got the first word.
The second part is also not a German word.
It is also internationally known and very related to the purpose of this product.
