Can you find the puzzle picture on the internet or is it a scan from your library?
Was the coachbuilder still active in 1939? If so, I have an idea.
In the '39 address book of Liegnitz, the advertiser advertises on the pages and the Opel dealer at the bottom of the centre column could have been the supplier of our base vehicle...

Very good source you found
Unfortunately we are talking about a short-lived company, so it's not the Opel dealer

And the picture was taken in a library, it is not available online

From the information you gathered so far and with just a little ingenuity, it is possible to find the name of the company via Google.

Still locked

Krumbholz.
If this is not correct, I have a request: Can you tell me the first letter of the company we are looking for? My source only consists of an alphabetical list of names over 700 pages, not sorted by trade. Otherwise I'll be looking until Christmas...

because you are overthinking it and don't use Google as I suggested :)

It's not Krumbholz. The name starts with an H

Good luck

Thanks for the help, unfortunately google only helped to a limited extent. I must have chosen the wrong keywords.

Thanks for the point. It was difficult to find but the search was interesting. The alphabetical directory only listed Hannemann, Karl, Fabrikbesitzer (Factory owner), Goldb. Str. 109/119.
