The Tour de France could just be called a rally but it was a multi-venue speed event and did visit Le Mans. Is that the event we should study?

Yes, it is the Lancia Ardennes rebodied by Lucien Sautenet using an original Aurelia roof and grill by Pininfarina.

BTW, the rallye was the Rallye International Sablé-Solesmes 1954.

Actually I've found the solution online. I have the aforementioned book but it didn't occur to me that it could be related to this puzzle.

Puzzle for real champions. Me never came the idea Dominique Pascal's book "Constructeurs sans Patente 2" may help solving this puzzle.
