BSH, based on a Renault 8 Gordini. Product of François Benais and Max Saint-Hilaire

The picture of the orange car shows a ver "individualized" version of the BSH. For sure, it was a kit car, so everybody was forced to tune up the kit regarding his personal taste.
I attached some historic pictures of an BSH (1969-1972)

There is a close connection to the BSH, but the puzzle car has a different name, as it is not just a personally individualized BSH.
Locked for one try.

Ah yes, the internet is always right!  ;D
But your source is half a step closer to the solution. You have to dig a bit deeper into the history of the BSH to find this car which differs in many respects from the original BSH and which was not a one-off.
The answer can be found offline in literature, but also online.
Lock prolongation granted.

Ah, now think to know, what you mean....
From 1971 onwards, Marland Sarl did the production and distribution of the BSH. They also made the Monks Buggy and Jorgia...

So, is it the: Marland BSH?

Heading in the right direction of the time line, but the Marland-built BSH looked like the original one.

It is the Saint-Hilaire, two of which were built by Max Saint-Hilaire under his own name.
Quote
They were an upgrade on the original 1600 cars, now with a Citroen GS rear windscreen, a revamped tail end with a standard rear wing that was said to look aesthetically better. They were sold under Saint-Hillarie’s own name, but as said, only two were built in the end and spent most of their lives in competition.

Your last post is another proof of the omniscience of the internet. I guess the author didn't understand the name Saint-Hilare quite right and wrote down what he thought he had heard.  :sigh:

Is it right, that only 2 cars were built, and one of those resides in the Host Linn collection?

I found the statement about only two cars being built in several sources. I don't know the owner of the puzzle car or the whereabouts of the second car.
