I discovered this car and learned about Masakazu Hayashi while reading about his younger cousin, Minoru Hayashi. This Lotus 7 replica made such an impression on the younger Hayashi that he became obsessed with building sports cars and went on to found DOME Co. Ltd (see here, here, here, here, here, here and here).
