KC Special built by Finch Engineering of Wembley, 1953

Yes, it is Triumph-based.
Interesting to work out which Triumph it was based on. The KC Special, as stated above, was first registered in 1953 and has an engine of 1281cc. Nearest production Triumph of the time was the (sidevalve) Mayflower at 1247cc which wouldn't be the power unit many people would choose.
-
I have to admit that my assumption that it is Triumph-based may be wrong. I had in my memory that it was Triumph-powered. But on second sight, it is just that nowadays a TR4 engine is fitted, which must be a later alteration. Sorry!

Has anyone managed to dig up any more about this? Any evidence of 'Finch Engineering' to be found?
-
The car was on display at Retromobile in Paris.
According to the information card it was built in 1953 by a team of engineers from Vickers Ltd. and has a Triumph TR2 engine mated to an MG gearbox.
