A quick and easy point to correctly name this car, but remember that this is Auto Puzzles  ;)

Chrysler Avenger
No, not that, although obviously related.

It's not called a 1250 TC either.

Dodge or Plymouth Avenger? Based on the UK Hillman but re-badged.

Yes, based in the British Hillman, but not badged as either a Dodge or Plymouth.

It's a Hillman Avenger Alpine, assembled in New Zealand from CKD parts from 1972-76.
It was the top-of-the-range Avenger there, previously the TC then later the GLS when the Chrysler Alpine was launched there.

Yes, that's the beast, the unique-to-New Zealand Hillman Avenger Alpine, which was later also known just as the Hillman Alpine, assembled locally by Todd Motors.  Another point to you and creeping ever closer to the wasteland of the Professionals!

Thanks.
Yes, I'm not looking forward to life in the barren wastelands of the Professional, which is why I don't get too involved in answering Expert puzzles these days unless they really really interest me.
I actually have 383 points I think as I'm due another 6 from PJ for his Alfa Barchetta puzzle, if and when it ever gets moved to Solved...
