It's not a Duesenberg, though the body is from one.

The Krueger Special is a very well-known and documented car that began as a 1926 Duesenberg Model A, and has always been recognized as one of the small number of Duesenberg Specials constructed over the years.

Yes, that's what it is so it's locked for you to answer the other question.

The Krueger Special was  - and is - powered by a Duesenberg Model A engine.  For a brief period in its life it had a Marmon V-16 installed, but not for long. Woodlites, though. And it looked better in black with the fender skirts, I think. Now it's white without the skirts. Oh, well.

I didn't know it had a Duesenberg engine again!
You've given me the info I wanted for the point so it's time to merge this one now.

As I said, there is a LOT of misinformation about this car out there - particularly whenever someone wants to sell it. I still think it looked better as originally built, but I can understand why various owners tried to "update" it over the years. No accounting for taste - or the lack of it.
