This is a thing from Hungary, the Ikarus 250. However, the production version had twin round headlights, so this is a pre-production prototype built in 1967

Though it was. The original photo has had an Ikarus logo, which was blurred in Photoshop thereafter. There's pretty lot about this bus in russian language sources

The unmodified picture doesn't show any Ikarus emblems or writings on the front of the bus.

There was a logo just above the headlights at the bus' full width, which was hastily hidden thereafter. It coinceedes with the dimensions of an Ikarus logo. There might have been some special versions for some of the by then Eastern block's countries, DDR in particular, though the original model was made by Ikarus

it's written on this brochure "Reiseluxusomnibus mit Ikarus-Aufbau"
but everywhere else it has a designation 659

I'll post the brochure cover in better quality tonight. That's all I have. I found the puzzle bus so interesting, because Ikarus was just the coachbuilder, but not part of the brand name.

please take a look at some photos of Ikarus 659, that's basically the same bus
there are some differences in lights positioning but almost the same front
