I'll accept this, taking into account that you are probably not used to read Fraktur script. His name was in fact Richard Hofmann.

Spelled with two "o" it's perfect if you want to insult someone appropriately in German.

Happily when we learned German at school in the 1950s we were taught that script which has been quite a help over the 60+ years since. For example, at one time I needed to use old motor magazines from the Veteran period as a research source.
What we were not taught was the equivalent handwriting, so some of the family archive material remains inaccessible!
