Style and fashion.

For one point, please respond and identify this car.

Looks like a home-made special I know. German with rear-engined VW that is my guess

Is it front wheel drive?

A truly excellent job. Is it really home made?

(As a matter of interest, notice the 1957 Taunus 17M in front of the puzzle car and the 1958 Fiat 1100 across the road.)

Not front-wheel driven, and it is home made.

I really need my head read. It's on a Beetle chassis and I ask if it's front wheel drive.  ::)  ::) Thanks for your patient reply, Wendax.  8)

Well, it could have had rear wheel steering then.  ;D

My ability to translate may let me down but was it known as or built by Gebroeders Vis. On my copy of that photo it appears to be known as its number plate , which I note you have carefully excluded. Whatever its name,  I have never seen a front view of it.

Well found! It is the VW-based home built car by the Vis brothers.
I haven't seen another picture either.

One more point for you.

Indeed! One gear forward and four reverse. ;D ;D And if you thought the original setup had tricky handling, wait till you try this! :o
