I've had a closer look at all this, and I was too hasty in blasting through the internet stuff. The car pictured IS front-driven, and is nothing to do with MG. The car pictured is from 1935, and is a Chevallier. A 1934 version of the same make came second in that year's Bol d'or, behind the winning MG J4. I therefore return the generous donation of the "point", as it was not deserved. Salutations.
