The Eli Zero, presented earlier this year at CES (Consumer Electronics Show) in las Vegas. Despite the similarity in styling to the Twizy, its two occupants sit side-by-side, not in tandem.

The Jiayuan Lingzu is built in Nanjing and sold in other countries, apart from China, under various names, including Jiayuan City Spirit and Jiayuan City Spirits Eidola.

Not my sort of car but good to see them so well illustrated and congratulations to el_monty and those who identified them. Appropriately that included our newest and youngest member whose future will probably depend on these vehicles long after some of us have used the last gallon of road fuel!

The SYM ex4U was presented at the 2014 Intermot (the International Motorcycle Show that takes place biennially in Cologne), as a follow-up to the EX3 trike concept that had been introduced at the previous edition of Intermot in 2012. It was clearly conceived as a competitor to the Twizy, but there there don't seem to be any plans for production and it has stayed a concept.

The Icona Neo was presented at the 2015 edition of AutoShanghai, and has also been shown at the Festival Automobile International 2016 in Paris. It's the studio's third concept car after the Fuselage and the Vulcano.

At the 2011 Tokyo Show, Japanese electronics companies Kowa and TMSUK teamed up to present three urban small vehicle concepts under the collective name "Kobot": the Kobot V, Kobot β and Kobot π. An evolution of the π, calle the Kobot π mini, was presented in 2012, and then finally in 2013 the production vehicle arrived, called Kobot θ (theta), which is the one in the puzzle. Below you can see the three stages from π to θ.

Haima is a manufacturer from the tropical island of Hainan, the southernmost region of China. It was originally founded in 1992 as a subsidiary of Mazda but it is now part of the massive state-owned FAW group. I'm surprised to find that the Me, an electric concept microcar presented at AutoShanghai 2009, is this marque's first appearance in AP, since it's quite a sizeable company that has produced dozens of different models (at first Mazda derivatives, then after changing hands in 2006 they developed their own identity). The Me was never developed into a production model, but Haima has other, larger electric cars in their line-up.

The EO by DFKI (Deutsche Forschungszentrum für Künstliche Intelligenz) has been conceived as an electric commuter vehicle that can lengthen itself and lower the profile of its passenger compartment when it's time for fast driving, then shorten its wheelbase for tight-turning urban driving. Also, it can toe its tires in as much as 90 degrees, letting it rotate in place or drive sideways for painless parallel parking. But its main party trick is that it is designed so that a number of EOs can link to each other while in motion to form platoons or "road trains", in which they circulate together, sharing their combined battery charge. When linked, the cars would be autonomously driven, giving control back to the human driver when one leaves the formation. This is all still in development and so far has not been demonstrated for real, but I hope they make it there! The puzzle car is the first version, presented in 2012; an evolved second version (which I won't show here) was presented in 2015.

4ekolka is a startup located in Prague and set up by designer Petr Chládek that has created a 3D printed electric car for city transportation, presented in 2016. Top speed is a modest 55 km/h and range an estimated 200 km.

Unedited pictures of the ECTO, developed by engineers Çağatay Hergül and Murat Güngör in Edremit and which is being used by the local branch of a Turkish chain called "Pizza Pizza", which sponsored the project. It weighs only 250 kg, takes 6 hours to charge, has a range of 50 km and a top speed of 60 km/h.
