1926 Hudson Bestium (or Baquet), entered by Daniel and Nadine van Lierde in the 1000 Millas Sport Patagonia.  Did the van Lierde's build it?

(History of the car includes Francis van Lierde and Arias Wenceslao (Wenceslao Arias?) as well.)

Yes, it is the Hudson "Bestium" special. "Baquet" is a generic word used in Argentina for classic-style sport specials (usually built in recent times, using old engines), but this one was really built in 1926, by a famous Argentine driver. Locked for you to find him.

Domingo Bucci.  The internet provides a strange lens on history.  You can easily find the modern history of the "1926 Hudson Bestium".  You can find the history of several race drivers named Bucci.  It is not as easy to find "1926" "Hudson" "Bestium" and "Bucci" in the same place.  (Except on Autopuzzles.com, of course.)

You got it!
Domingo Bucci started a dynasty of Argentine racing builder/drivers, the most famous of which is probably his son Clemar Bucci, whose creations have appeared several times on AP. He also had another son called Roland, so named in honor of French aviator Roland Garros, who had taught Doming Bucci to fly Bleriot planes in his youth. Scuderia Bucci survives to this day and Pablo Bucci, of the 4th generation of the family, presented in 2013 the Bucci Special (https://www.autopuzzles.com/forum/2013-42/solved-ropat21-bucci-special-with-mercedes-benz-amg-v12/ ), and the following year opened the Bucci Museum in Zenón Pereyra, Santa Fe, birthplace of Domigo Bucci.

Here is the unedited picture. The letters on the grille seem to read "Mango", and I have no idea what that refers to.
