Karen was dubious about her boyfriend's claims that the engine was so powerful that, if he revved it while she was standing above the engine, the carburettor-trumpet downdraft would pull off her knickers.

Nevertheless, she was willing to try, so her boyfriend took this 'before' shot. He took no 'after' picture. He was too busy taking off the cylinder head to get the knickers out of number three cylinder.
