Yes it was built for a military purpose. Only 2 have ever been built as far as I know.

The original was built by a well known manufacturer. A copy was made many years later by a private individual.

It is a prototype. Having checked again there were probably 4 prototypes and 1 much later copy. It did not enter production. I cant find any evidence online that the manufacturer ever made any other attempts at an armoured car.

That rules out all the usual suspects: Rolls-Royce, Lanchester, etc. Is it a Daimler?
