As far as I know this Omnibus SPA Number 12 won the 1908 "Concorso del Ministerio Italiano delle Poste e Telegrafi". Branded as S.P.A. (Societa Piemontese Automobili). That year SPA fusioned with FLAG (Fabbrica Ligure di Automobili Genova) and became as Societa Ligure Piemontese Automobili.

Just for translate a bit,

The article tells how developed the race, "one FIAT, one Florentia, one Fides-Brasier and 2 SPA joined the race. The Florentia was the first out of the race, the second was the Fiat, third, one of the SPA, then the Fides-Brasier. The only one remained was the second SPA".
Then, the article speaks about the designer, builder and founder of the SPA (Societa Piemontesa Automobili) Matteo Ceirano, and the Omnibus mecanichals.

Note: SpA means a "Società per Azioni" (a kind of company) and SPA (Società Piemontesa Automobili)
