This bus doesn't really emit that much CO2.
Who made the base and what type designation does it have? Who supplied the electrical equipment? Who was the coachbuilder? What year was it built and where was it used?

Bussing Senator 13R,  body by Emmelmann, electrical equipment by SSW (Siemens)
for VBL Luzern, built in 1965, in service from 1966.
Running numbers 151 to 164.
Picture probably taken before entering service, still missing advertising boards on roof and city crest.

:applause: Apart from the type designation, everything is correct!
Blocked for correction.
Btw. The photo was taken during test drives in Hildesheim.

slip of the brain.
That sounds familiar to me...
It's a Büssing/Emmelmann/SSW Präsident. Büssing had the Senator/Präfekt/Präsident series with two types of body construction in its program. The more elaborate version was produced by Büssing itself, the other version was intended for body builders. The name for the coachbuilder's version is still missing.
Still locked.

Yes, it is a Büssing/Emmelmann/SSW Präsident Verbund (that means composite) from 1965, used in Lucerne. To make boarding easier for passengers, the customer requested folding steps.
Now here's your next point.
For the "Verbund" types, a floor assembly was built at Büssing and delivered to the coachbuilders. There it was given its final stability by being joined to the body. The factory's own version was called "Röhre" (that means tube). It was a self-supporting ribbed construction that resembled a tube due to the curved side struts.
