Looks a bit like Bob Hope's 1950 Mercury Special (aka Templeton Saturn), maybe Lloyd Templeton was involved in this one ?

All I know is it was for sale on ebay and based on a 1982 Lincoln MK VI (Fox Body, though seller had it listed incorrectly as MK IV)

Well found. But how do we find out any more? This guy must have spent a shedload of money to build this - he used brand new parts.

"The car that you mentioned was a custom car built by a gentleman who passed away. We helped his widow market the car so she could get it sold. Somewhere we have a file on it but it is not handy at the moment. If I come across it I will send you some information on it."

According to the sign, the original builder started on this car right after World War II. Every body panel and trim piece is handmade. The doors slide out and down. A later owner put the body on "a modern Lincoln Continental chassis." Shows at 3rd Annual Rodder's Journal Revival, Pimlico Race Course, Baltimore, MD, September 27, 2014.
