Solved: DAR 47 - 3-seater motorcycle by Stanisław Skura 1949
« on: November 12, 2022, 03:17:44 PM »
I don't know the name of this 3-seater - or whether it had one.  The website I found it on just said "3-seater motorcycle"

When was it built?  Where?  What engine powered it?

It is reported to have been built in 1949 by a Polish chap called Stanisław Skura using German military aircraft wheels mounted on truck rims. Powered by a 4.5L OHV V-twin engine coupled to a 3-speed gearbox

Or at least that's what I found on an english website. This Polish newspaper cutting suggests the bike was made by a peasant farmer named Z. Korek from a crashed Messerschmitt aeroplane, and used the V12 engine cut down to a V10.

That's close enough.  My source didn't name the builder and said the engine used two cylinders of a Me 109 engine not 10.
