The race: Brilliant start by Jacky Ickx, Ferrari 512PB, fierce battle for second place between Rolf Stommelen, Alfa Romeo T33/3 and Vic Elford Porsche 908/3, Ickx lost the lead on lap six due to loss of coolant.
Jo Siffert changed to the 908/3 of Pedro Rodríguez after the engine mounts broke.
14th lap: Stommelen/Galli: out due to engine failure.
21st lap: Ickx/Regazzoni, in the lead, out due to engine overheating.
Result: Victory for Elford/Larousse ahead of Rodríguez/Siffert, World Brand Championship for Porsche!
