It looks like a a Tankloeschfahrzeug Type 20 (TLF 20) build on the base of an after WW2 in Germany remaining FORD army truck.

Yes this is a TLF 20 bases on a Ford-Chassis, but no army truck. Locked for you to name type designation of the truck, manufacturer of the body and year of construction.

1950 Metz LF20. build on Ford G 790B  base.
It's designation was to  put out fires, as an fire fighting engine.

Yes the bodybuilder was Metz. a TLF, to be precise. Due to the water supply in the tank, it is used for the "initial attack", fire fighting until the water supply from hydrants or wells is established.
However, this Ford G 790B is older than your guess. Still locked.

Yes, this fire engine is from 1948 and you get your next point.  :thumbsup:
The first user was the US airfield fire brigade in Donaueschingen, and from 1954 to 1971 the vehicle was used by the volunteer fire brigade in Lollar.
