My answer was geographically meant but the solution has also a connection to the railway.
-
Just to clarify: the coachbuilder was not located in Kassel, but nearby? Let's say within 50 km from Kassel?
-
The superstructure manufacturer was located in Kassel, near by Wegmann.

Henschel?
-
Yes!!
Until the late 1940s, Henschel produced tank superstructures itself. No problem for a manufacturer of steam locomotives.
It was fun to throw a nut into the basket, which even experienced puzzlers have to nibble at.
One more point for Wendax, congratulations.
Btw, for people interested in historical technology, there is an event on 2./3.10.21.: "Full steam ahead in autumn" at Preßnitztalbahn, in the Erzgebirge, Saxony. There is a feeder bus from Wolkenstein to Steinbach, operated with a blue/white H6B, driven by a AutoPuzzle member...
If anyone has time and wants to, timetables are available at "Preßnitztalbahn" or "h6bus".

Thanks for the point.
Attached another Standard tank truck, a Krupp.
