Although the car appears to have a Stanguellini badge on its nose I think that is a later addition by an owner and I don't think this car was ever badged as a Stanguellini, but a Fiat 1100 S with engine developed by Stangellini.

Thanks Carnut, I think you are right. I also see that the year in the Motto-book is 1950 and not 1948. And it isn't featured in my Stanguellini book either.

Not sure 1950 is right either!
The car was built with its original body in 1948 but one of the pictures in the advert shows it racing in the 1951 Mille Miglia in its original form, so the rebody by Motto into its current form must only have been after the 1951 Mille Miglia but before the 1952 race!
