The base is a Subaru Leone SwingBack.   The steering wheel is on the left side so not a Japanese, UK or Australian modification. No USA conversion since the bumpers are not the USA specific ones with side reflectors. Must therefore be mainland Europe. Since Italy had very strict import quota at that time for Japanese manufactured vehicles I estimate German conversion?

According to Monteverdi's own brochure it was not labeled as a Monteverdi Integral, but as a Subaru Integral by Monteverdi Design.
