This is the "Vaillante" of Jacky Vaille, shown here in the Formula France race at Reims, 1968. I believe this car was built on the chassis of Henri Julien's Alpine A310 (ex-F3).

Yes indeed it is. It seems several entrants for the first year of Formule France used existing chassis as a cheap shortcut to the new series.

I was a bit worried that there had been some mistake in indentifying this car, because the cartoonist Henri Vaillante created a fictional racing car called the Vaillante, and the Northern Irish constructor Crossle built a mock Vaillante for exhibition purposes. It seems the name is just a coincidence.
