The license plate format on that 912 behind it looks Turkish but I have my doubts. Is this a Turkish car?

:o
Could you please tell me the difference between a Turkish plate and, for example a Romanian or Hungarian one?
And most interesting, how on earth did you find such a difference in that tiny slice of plate visible?
That's correct, btw!

It starts with a number. Going by what's visible that's not a letter but a 3. All privately owned vehicles start with a 3 in Turkey except taxis.

This should be a Maral Nily Road Racer by Hasan Yurdakul. Development of this model started around 2006. At the time the company had 30 employees and has already carried out dozens of customer orders for its vehicles but in 2007 it ended vehicle production entirely. This model was named after his daughter, Nil. After owning a 1974 Fiat Spider he wanted his own improved version of it and made this fiberglass car. I can only find doorless pics of it with minor changes but I'm going with the assumption that the production model ended up doorless. Either that or there have been variations of this car in this form as well if serial production actually took place. It's inconclusive what engine these cars have, Some sources say Ford-Otosan, some say Fiat but the maker claims the one he drives is BMW-powered.

Maral is the name of his Morgan replica. This is indeed Hasan Yurdakul's Nily, completed in 2019.
Well done!

The cars were sold under the Sportscar (limited) name so the correct name is Sportscar Nily.
The other car was Sportscar Maral. I have found this info in a "worldwide car catalogue" of 2006.

I had this dilemma before. I understood this was named after Hasan Yurdakul and remained a one off...but I may have got it wrong.
