Melenk mentions two cars built by Klaus Reinsberger:
- Fahrzeug 1 Phänomen-VW
- Fahrzeug 2 Steyr-VW
I don't know which one this is. Do you have a proof for your assumption?

I think it is the first one. He used this Volkswagen based car at the Schauinsland hillclimb in 1951. In the progtramm it is named only "Volkswagen".

I wonder what might have been the Phänomen part of the car. The truck chassis and the engine would have been too heavy for a sports car I guess.

I think it's a fantasy-name given by the driver, as often in thoose days.
In the race programm from Sternberg/Zella-Mehlis 1950 - Sachsenring 1950 - Halle Saale Schleife 09-51 and Sachsenring the car was always name VW-Eigenbau.
