I was hoping for a bit more information, but yes, this Land Rover was made by Grip Karrosier in Sweden. Grip built a number of closed-cockpit Land Rovers in the 1950s to better cope with the local, cold Scandinavian climate, when Solihull was only manufacturing drafty, open-sided Series 1 models which let in the snow, etc.

It's interesting that although Sweden drove on the left at that time, this conversion is left hand drive like other Swedish cars.

Yes, only the buses were RHD so they could have the doors on the left.
Everything else was always LHD, the official explanation being that it was safer to get out on the left when parking the car against the kerb!  Even all the Saabs and Volvos were LHD.
It did mean that when they switched over all they needed to do was move the bus doors to the other side!

I think that one reason is that Sweden didn't have a motor industry and cars were imported mainly from Germany, both new and secondhand, and they came as LHD and Swedes got used to driving LHD cars.  The first Volvos they exported were LHD and, I think, SAABs as well.

Yes, Saab didn't;t build it's first RHD car until the ate 1950s!
