Not sure about the relationship of the drivers, otherwise correct except for the year.

Too late. Oguerrerob is right.
Custer made several different models: these was 'Cabbie' (a miniature railroad vehicles), the Coupè (a miniature car), the Cootie (a children's car), the Chair (a 3 wheeler) and the Carrier (a factory truck). I believe these are Cooties.
