As is often the way I think I recognise the wheels but I know nothing about this Duesenberg (even if my identification of the wheels is right and that's what it is). It's clearly not as the manufacturer offered it but some sort of racing special.

It is indeed a Duesy. Well recognised. In view of your lack of conviction I will not lock the puzzle at this early stage. Remember, my puzzles are relatively easy compared to many on this site - it's out there if you look.

Duesenberg Model J, raced by Macoco Alzaga in Argentina

We have a winner. It's chassis J292, originally a dual phaeton but converted in 1936 by Luis Viglione into this racing barquette. It was owned by Macoco Alzaga but also raced by the better-known Raul Riganti.
