NIC#1384
« on: September 18, 2023, 05:12:59 AM »
What is this? Remember, this is AP and not everything is a simple as it looks.
I must be right - that's what it says on Wikipedia

Let's see if we can eliminate several Lotus XI replicas and re-creations in one go.
Is it one of: a Westfield XI, Kokopelli 11, the Challenger GTS, the Spartak, Bill Needham's copy of #219, Andrew Denton's replica, Dennis Lupton's replica, or Eastlake replica?

As they say on all of the best election forms - none of the above.

I'm not really sure that your question complies with AP rules.

Why not?  It can only be answered with a "Yes" or a "No" so I think it's kosher.

Sorry, Duncan, but your post is against "Erbas' rule" which restricts posts to one guess at a time. Why is it called Erbas' rule? See his post: https://www.autopuzzles.com/forum/2007-35/puzzle-408-solved!-crosley-skorpion/msg17778/#msg17778  ;D

Ok.  My apologies. I stand corrected.  I thought as it's a YES/NO answer it was OK.

I've come across a reference, but no photo, to a car named the "Climax Special" racing against a Lotus Eleven.  Is this it?
