Probably the first car to be named "The Silver Arrow".  It's a 1924 Vauxhall OE 30/98 owned and driven at Brooklands by Major Sir Leonard Ropner, who later became a Conservative Member of Parliament.  The car was fettled by the manufacturers, but I've forgotten who attended to it at the track.

A full answer. Raced at the track 1923-1925 according to Bill Boddy. The large radiator mascot was I think the symbol of Ropner's company.

According to Bill's "Motor Sport" interview with Ropner, the term "Silver Arrow" was derived from a school song at Harrow!!
