There is some doubt over claims of the car's age, but IMO it was built before or in the year 1914.

SAVA?
YES!!! That's one point to you.
This photo was from a magazine which covered the life of W B Scott who was a well-known entrant at Brooklands in the 20s and 30s. He was using the SAVA as a road car, and had purchased it from another great British enthusiast Phil Padden. The car was described as a 1911/12 Grand Prix SAVA but I can find no mention of such a car in the records, although I do not possess the "Black Book" for that era. However there was a SAVA which raced in the 1914 Isle of Man Tourist Trophy (without success) and I wonder if this is that car - it was not unknown for overseas cars to be left behind and sold to a UK racer rather than transport them home.
To add to the mystery I attach a photo taken from another website which shows a SAVA abandoned on the road during WW1 and I think this could be the same car. Possibly a British Army officer was using it as his personal transport behind the front lines. Any solid identification would be apprteciated.

Certainly a possibility.
